Chartis Insights: Keeping Fraudsters Out and Onboarding Costs Low

A Banking Professional Benchmarking Survey

Globally, the challenges of fraud detection are vast and complex – from the industrialization of fraudulent networks to more sophisticated authorized push payment (APP) fraud – and preventing and detecting fraud requires greater focus. The new account opening phase is an increasingly important aspect of the fraud lifecycle, vital in stopping first-party and third-party fraud.

Feedzai and Chartis have partnered on a survey to examine the challenges posed by new account fraud, the pain it can cause financial institutions, and the ways that institutions can respond. The survey covers a broad set of factors that we have grouped into four areas: new account fraud typology and trends; fraud prevention measures and technology; top- and bottom-line implications and customer impact.
